Ann Phone Number: 270*862*2303 State: Kentucky more info on: Horse training Email Address: annsfurn1@windstream.net Country: USA Comments: Joyride (Silke White) recently Broke and Trained my 2 1/2 year old Kentucky Mountain Horse, So far things have been great with her. I found that Silke White had alot of patience with my horse and me. She also treated my horse with respect and Maggie was very comfortable with Silke. She did a 30 days training from start to finish, anyone... I mean anyone can get on this horse and ride her. I look foward to another one of my horses to be broke and trained next fall by Silke White. She comes highly recommended as far as I am concern. You don't have to worry about your horse in her hands except maybe that it will be a little spoiled afterwards. If anyone would like to call me about the training and services that Joyride did with my horse, I would be more that happy to answer any questions about it. 270-862-2303 Thanks Silke, Ann Brinks

Rooster made it home safe and is settled in.  I just wanted to say thanks again for working with me on purchasing Rooster and making it such a pleasent exsperience. As I told you when I was there I plan on getting Rooster going just right and let my wife-to-be adopt him. I'll have to send you some pics when I get some good ones!

I found Silke through her web site because I was quickly becoming very frustrated and knew I needed an expert's help and guidance.  Being a brand new horse owner and rider (with no previous experience), Silke has helped me in many ways.  She has worked with me and my green five year-old Paint and helped us turn a corner from what seemed a hopeless situation to one where I can finally see potential in both the horse and myself.  She started from the very basics of thirty days of training with my horse. She began with teaching me ground work and recently I just cantered on my horse for the first time.  I also asked her for her help and expertise in finding a horse for my 11 year-old daughter after going through three horses that did not work out for her.  Silke matched her with a pretty and calm horse that will do anything my daughter asks her to do and now she is riding her in a drill team and using her as a 4-H project horse.&n bsp;

Silke doesn't just train a horse or teach a person to ride properly.  She pays attention to the needs of the rider or horse owner and helps them get to the next level.  She adds humor and honesty to the training.  I can also say from personal experience she will not take your money if she does not think it will benefit you or your horse.  I would recommend Silke to anyone, but because of my situation I would highly recommend her to beginners.

I enjoy riding with Silke. She does clearly communicate and makes it easy to improve your level of riding. Silke explain step by step her method of teaching and makes it simple to understand. She is fully committed to bring the best out of horse and rider. Silke has good solution for problems that may occur and is not shy to get on the horse herself to find a strategy. I have fun taking lessons and looking forward to the next one.  K1hazanz@aol.com

Silke White did 30 days of training on my Paint mare. She was very Professional, knowledgeable and handled my horse very well!

My horse was happy and healthy and while in her care.

I would recommend Silke any time, for training or lessons.

"Silke's no-nonsense approach to riding is refreshing.  As someone with riding experience, I appreciate her willingness to address my weaknesses in a thoughtful and straightfoward way.  She is then able to offer clear and easy to understand corrections which, when applied, help me tremendously to influence the horse and improve my overall riding.  Thanks Silke!"

I've been riding with Silke for several months now and my horse, Moon, has come so far. He's gone from a starved rescue with very little training and no conditioning to a well developed, obidient horse! I got Moon April 1st and he literally had three feet in the ground. He couldn't even stand on his own he was so weak from being starved. Just two months after he came to us we had our first lesson with Silke. I was not planning on keeping Moon, just rehab him and find him a new home. After two dressage lessons that changed. Just one month after starting with Silke, we took Moon to his first event. We were in a large division with mostly professional riders so I really didn't have high expectations for the weekend, I just wanted to finish. After dressage we were middle of the pack.....which I thought was great for his first time in a dressage ring and his first ever event! He scored in the 30's (for eventing that's good, penalty points not percentage). Taking what we had worked so hard with in the ring to cross country, Moon jumped clean! Something very few horses did. He also went double clean in stadium, finishing on his dressage score and placing 3rd overall only 2 points from 1st!
Moon has continued to develop every week. He's gotten better, more consistent and quieter after every lesson. When we started working with him, he was a head shaker. Instead of taking an easy way out and finding a "quick fix" Silke worked with me to figure out what was causing him to fling his head and work our way through it. It did take longer than a quick fix may have but we're correcting the problem permanently, not just until we take whatever gadget off.
Before meeting Silke, I was one of the many Americans that held the belief that Germans are just not good with Thoroughbreds. They are too pushy and demanding of their horses to be great with the hotter blooded TB's. However, Silke shot that theory to you know where. Her approach to training is wonderful. Teach your horse, through consistency, to be balanced, forward and accepting of the outside rein and inside leg. Once you've done that you're golden. After a few months of riding and training with her Moon has gone from a horse that hides behind your leg and pushes against you to a horse that is balanced, happy and attentive.
